New media: pros and cons
Read the text and say if the sentences are true (T) or false (F).

Celebrities complain that their privacy is increasingly being taken away because their lives are exposed by the media. However, they are much more exposed if they have a profile on social networks. One solution would be not to have one. However, can they really avoid having a place on the giant social networks that connect everybody everywhere? They certainly can't. Just as people can't avoid being connected to the Web, otherwise they would be literally cut off. But by being connected, our lives are exposed to anybody's curiosity and criticism. Thanks to smartphones, everybody is a photographer and taking pictures in public places and posting them on the Net is not forbidden. It is impossible to imagine the future of social networks, but while we appreciate their advantages, we are still scared of the consequences of the total lack of privacy, which doesn't only come from social networks but from any kind of electronic connection. Every time a credit card is used, a flight is booked online or GPS is turned on, we become exposed. This is called traceability and, among other things, it also exposes us to being sent lots of unwanted advertisements and spam.
A: Celebrities say that their privacy has been taken away and they're not happy about it.
B: The writer suggests that celebrities could avoid having a social profile.
C: People who don't have an Internet connection can be excluded from what is going on around them.
D: Everybody's life is exposed by new media and technology.
E: Smartphones allow people to take pictures easily but they can't upload them onto the Internet.
F: The writer concludes that we are exposed to lots of advertising nowadays.
