Two young people think they have witnessed a crime scene in the school area and are now reporting it to their teacher. After reading the passage, say whether the following sentences are true or false.

We both saw a short, fair-haired man, who must have been around 40, approaching a young woman. He whispered something in her ear and she stepped back in fright. She clutched her handbag as if she was scared that he might want to rob her. But he didn't move. The young lady tried to walk past and the man grabbed her arm. Then, he seemed to be getting angry: his eyes flashed and we were afraid he might attack her. She screamed. A traffic warden heard her screaming and came running towards them. The man let go of her arm and seemed to calm down. The officer asked them what was going on and the young lady – quite surprisingly – said that everything was all right. We don't know who he was. He might have been a drug dealer threatening her. But she can't have been a drug addict, she looked so decent! She may have been the witness to some previous crime and he didn't want her to reveal the truth… Or do you think we are watching too many crime series on TV?
A: 1. A tall and elegant man was running after a young lady. He was a traffic warden.
B: 2. The young lady was about to be attacked, or so the two students thought.
C: 3. She was so scared by the man that she started screaming.
D: 4. The man calmed down when he saw the officer approaching.
E: 5. The two boys think that the young lady might have been a drug addict.
F: 6. The two boys don't like crime series.
