Energy sources in California
Read the text and say if the sentences are true (T), false (F) or not given (NG).

California has a population of about 39 million and the State uses a massive amount of energy, more than one third of which comes from renewable sources. Wind and solar 'parks' are being built constantly and electric cars are also selling fast. About 1 million were sold around the world in 2017. Between now and the end of the next decade, solar power costs should almost halve. Eric Garcetti, who has been mayor of Los Angeles since 2013, says that we have to think about future generations and help the State become more resilient to the effects of climate change. He warns of the dangers if we don't take action: hotter weather, more extreme conditions, more frequent fires and rising ocean levels which could cause flooding in low-lying parts of the city. If these things happen, the Californian dream would cease to exist and there would be longer droughts, more intense floods and bigger wildfires.

(Financial Times special report, February 2018)
A: Two thirds of California's energy comes from non-renewable sources.
B: About a million people bought electric cars in 2017.
C: Solar power costs should be almost 50% lower in the next twenty years.
D: Eric Garcetti is worried about the number of earthquakes in California.
E: Flooding may occur in more hilly parts of the city.
F: There could be longer periods when it doesn't rain enough.
