Read the blog and say whether the following sentences are true or false.

I would certainly advise everybody to go and see the film Pride. I went yesterday and I was not disappointed. I found it particularly amusing but also very instructive about the British way of life. The film was based on a true story. It was set in Wales at the time of the miners' strike in the Eighties. The miners from a little mining village had not received any money for some time because they had gone out on strike. They were supported by a group of London gays who had collected money for them. At the beginning there was some distrust and the miners – or at least some of them – had been very against the idea of accepting support from a gay community: the miners had felt 'ashamed'. But, as the film went on, a strong bond of friendship grew between them. Both communities discovered that supporting each other made them stronger and happier. The film was never sentimental but at some points could be very moving.
I look forward to your comments!
A: 1. The blogger thought the film Pride was entertaining.
B: 2. It was the idealisation of an imagined event.
C: 3. It was set in Wales at the time of the miners' strike.

E: 5. It was a film about friendship and mutual support.
