The art of slow travel

Slow travel is a different way of travelling which has recently became popular. It is for a patient kind of tourists and was born from the need to slow down and stop living life in the fast route. Slow travelling is based on the relatively recent idea that getting from one place to another can also be idyllic for those who want to get the most out of their life.
A recent survey has shown that 53% of travellers in Europe want to get to the desired destination taking their time and most of them are getting used to heading for long stays in one place to fulfill their dream of experiencing it, not just visiting! For this reason, patient tourists usually select the ways of transport that allow them to discover the beauty of the landscape and to explore the natural scenery, such as walking, taking a train, hitch-hicking in the countryside or kayaking along a river.
Their ideal holiday involves taking part to the life of a community, meet local people, run into other travellers and make the trip what they want it to be.
A: Travelling is always a way to slow down.
B: Slow travelling had been popular since the 1900s.
C: Taking time is an essential element of slow travelling.
D: Patient tourists go from one place to another during their holiday.
E: Patient tourists prefer walking, taking public transports and relaxing.
