My ideas about politics
Today I want to tell you about my dreams, my desires and my regrets about a political life. As you know, I'm young but I like politics and I believe everyone should be interested in it, even though – let's admit it – it's not exactly like this now. Firstly, young people should have more seats in parliaments and other political institutions.
We can start in our everyday life and take the first steps at school. I have to be honest with you: I didn't run for the school elections last year, but I really regret it. Sometimes I think my friend Alan, who was elected as school representative, should have convinced me to join him. He's really good at it and, as a rep, he's having his voice heard. He says students should make more decisions on learning and school institutions.
In my opinion, for example, more lessons should focus on civil rights and global warming because they are the issues young people must be aware of to become responsible citizens. I think we shouldn't waste so much time on social media. If we did so, maybe we'd find more time for politics. Do you agree?
