Lunch time mystery
Jessica ________ (be) starving. She put her hand in her school bag, looking for her lunchbox. It ________ (vanish), again! This was the third time her lunch ________ (go) missing.
The first time, she ________ (think) that she ________ (leave) it at home. The second, that maybe a friend ________ (borrow) it by mistake. But three times?
Jessica ________ (look) down the school corridor, searching for any sign of her lunch. Maybe someone ________ (play) a joke on her? She spotted Emily, her best friend, munching on a sandwich. It wasn't hers, though. She ________ (make) a cheese and tomato sandwich that morning and Emily ________ (have) a tuna one.
