Childe Harold's Pilgrimage: plot (third and fourth cantos)
Read the passage below and find the six mistakes in it.

In the third canto, Byron deals with the possibilities given by the human ability to remember. He does this by becoming completely absorbed in imaginative creativity and in the spiritual world, both of which provide a new vitality. The canto follows Byron's journey, after he left Scotland in 1816, to the field of Waterloo, along the Seine into Switzerland. The fourth canto, which is set in France, contains several descriptions of nature, mostly of the sea, which becomes the image of the sublime and death, reflecting the poet's mood and feelings.

Manfred: setting
Read the text below and find the six mistakes in it.

The story is set in the Apennines, partly in Manfred's castle and partly in the mountains. The landscape is particularly useful to the novel: it enters powerfully into it with its peaks and abysses. Manfred wishes for a beneficial union with the natural elements; he wants to dominate them. Manfred is a Promethean play, because the protagonist wants to assert free will and superiority over animals. His lonely tower, standing under the sun, becomes the symbol of the underreacher.
