Alfred Tennyson: style
Read the text below and find the six mistakes in it.

Tennyson's style was typical of his class. Balance and fragmentation were two of the main characteristics of his style. He used many figures of speech, such as oxymoron and kennings, a kind of pictorial description. Tennyson's linguistic images are banal and more complex than the old Anglo-Saxon ones. Moreover, his images derive from his wish to protect homogeneity, richness and variety. Reading Tennyson's poems, the writer has to take the time to analyse them carefully.
