The Scarlet Letter: characters
Read the text below and find the six mistakes in it.

The novel features four main characters plus the Church, which has the function of a chorus. Apart from Hester Prynne, the main characters are Archbishop Dimmesdale, Roger Chillingworth and little Pearl. The two men represent two sides of the human will. Dimmesdale, the passive side, is all faith without any will. On the other hand, Chillingworth, who is the hero of the story, represents the active side of man's will and joins the two forces to achieve his power against Dimmesdale and Hester. His sin, which is the worst of all, is that of violating the human heart. Pearl stands for discipline and intuitiveness: with her energy, she symbolises innocence and wisdom.
